Looking good!

We decided to add a couple of dwarf apple trees and a flowering crabapple tree to our homestead this spring from an amazing orchard that embraces like minded practices regarding regenerative agriculture and free from use of chemicals, Grandview Orchards in Antigo, Wisconsin. The choice of Where to buy from was easy, but with so many apple varieties to choose from, the What was less easy. We settled on varieties that are more disease resistant, good for fresh eating and at least one that stores well. And, of course, each will also serve as another excellent source for our friends, the pollinators.

We planted bare root Liberty and Redfree apple trees and a Prairiefire Crabapple (ornamental) tree on May 15, 2022.

And just one month later…..

Our redfree dwarf apple tree on June 11, 2022.
